Little update: I finished the lowpoly and cages for chair and leather parts. I also uved the leather parts and made a test bake (normal and vertex color polypaint to UV bake). Tomorrow i´ll finish up the rest of the UVs and start texturing.

Note: The polycount for this asset will probably end up arround 2k tris which is quiet a lot for a chair. Multiple artist who work as game devs in respected studios told me to push tris counts for portfolios since i "ALWAYS will be able to retopo and lessen the polycount" if needed. How true!

I still will will use shared UV space (example at the chair foot or other small parts) since with the growing Hardware speed, a good texture / UV spacing and usage is more important than a core lowpoly mesh!

Allrighty.. Started on an Office chair inspired, yet again, by AMC Mad Men tv series. A quick Google after Mad Mens office props and i found a chair that i felt like doing and fits into the environment as well.

Mid poly in 3dsMax:

I took the leather parts into Zbrush and with a little help of  good ol´ DynaMesh created a usable mesh that i could start sculpting on. Pillows are individual Meshes since having it all in one part makes it irritating to work with.

I used my own 3D baked alpha stitches after looking up references of leather stitches.

At the end of a few hours i added some polypaint infos to easy in the texturing.. which i´ll do next. Thinking about adding nDo2 leather normal infos again. Much easier than having to sculpt it.. and just so next gen *ergh*

Also the PowerFlower wall is done:

Allright.. so i started working on a couch.. the idea was to duplicate all couch parts in zbrush so i could sculpt it in a way that it looks like the outer part was scratched / ripped off.. The highpoly was 40mio polys in zbrush.. Thank god for decimate master c:

Here are some shots of the highpoly aswell as marmoset2 renderings and Unity ingame screenshots. NEXT!
